Statement of Licensing Policy and Cumulative Impact Assessment
Overview
The Council is obliged to determine and publish a Statement of Licensing Policy to keep it under review and to republish it at least every five years. The current statment of Licensing Policy was republished in Feburary 2021.
Since this date, the Licensing Authority has carried out a further comprehensive and considered review, taking the pandemic and its effects into account, and also gathering new data, evidence and input from relevant authorities to consider a new Cumulative Impact Assessment.
The Licensing and Gambling Acts Committee has approved for the Draft Statement of Licensing Policy and Draft Cumulative Impact Assessment for public consultation.
Why your views matter
It is important that Licence Holders, Members of the Public and Key Stakeholders contribute to a revised Statement of Licensing Policy and Cumulative Impact Assessment by providing their feedback and recommendations for the Council to consider.
What happens next
The Licensing Authority will update the policy having considered the responses and will present the updated policy and assessment to the Licensing and Gambling Acts Committee for consideration and approval.
