Community Consultation on Bertie Park
Overview
OX Place is holding a community consultation event to help shape the design of new play facilities at a proposed housing development in Bertie Place.
Oxford City Council’s housing company aims to build 31 affordable homes on the Bertie Place recreation ground, which has been earmarked for housing development since 2013. Its current plans are for 22 council homes let at genuinely affordable social rent and nine sold for shared ownership.
As part of the proposed development, OX Place is committed to providing a new public play area and multi-use games area (MUGA) to replace the recreation ground’s existing equipment.
The community consultation aims to get the views of children and teenagers using the recreation ground about what they’d like to see in its place.
