In addition to this survey, you can visit our Consultation Jamboards, where you write short post-it note comments to explain how you use the area, what you like or don’t like about it currently and parts you would like to see change. The first sheet explains how to use these maps and the next sheets show maps and give the opportunity to use post-it notes to make comments placed on a particular point. We will frequently record these comments to keep the boards tidy, so do be aware that your comments will disappear but they will have been recorded. These comments can be made anonymously.
West End and Osney Mead Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) Consultation
Results updated 13 Aug 2021
Earlier this year we carried out a consultation on the West End and Osney Mead SPD, inviting comments on the Issues document and on the site area as a whole. At the same time we made use of interactive maps as a further means of getting views on the vision of the SPD, in a way that could be tied to identifiable areas as specifically as possible. The responses we received through the online consultation portal, the interactive maps and other means such as email, have been collated and summarised in a report that is now available to view.

Overview
We would like to get your thoughts on how future developments in the West End and Osney Mead area of the city should be guided. We will use your comments as we develop the West End and Osney Mead Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
This questionnaire contains some general questions about how you feel about the area, some questions about the scope and vision of the SPD (which is set out in the supporting Issues and Scope document) and some questions to find out your priorities for what should happen in the area in the future. We realise it may be difficult to rank these selections and we understand that something you rank of being of least importance in a list may well still be very important to you. You may answer as many or as few of these questions as you like - you do not need to respond to all of the questions.
We have produced a document outlining a vision for the area and setting out what we intend to include in the SPD. You do not need to read the supporting document to answer most of the questions. Where the question relates to information in the supporting document we have made this clear.
What happens next
We will collate comments we receive through the questionnaire and publish a consultation report in early summer. We will use your responses to help inform the draft document, and we will consult on that draft early in 2022. We have appointed consultants to work with on this SPD and they will be engaging with key stakeholders, landowners and others as they undertake their work, including ongoing meetings with developer teams and a workshop intended to take place towards the end of May. In addition, developers of specific sites in the area will be carrying out pre-application public consultation exercises to inform their designs throughout 2021. A first public consultation about the Oxford Station masterplan SPD is expected to take place in the summer.
