Landlords: Retrofit baseline knowledge survey

Overview

The survey is designed to understand what level of knowledge landlords have of energy efficiency and barriers to retrofitting in the private rental sector in Oxford.

Retrofitting is the process of making changes to a property, such as installing solar panels, loft insulation, wall insulation, heat pumps, better windows and more. Oxford City Council is working to identify ways to make retrofitting easier for Oxford residents and in particular landlords.

We currently have a project called A House Like Mine which is creating engagement materials to encourage the uptake of retrofit amongst Oxford residents with a particular focus on landlords.

This survey will be used to measure the impact of these materials, gather a baseline of landlords knowledge and gain an understanding of the barriers to retrofit particularly for landlords. The survey will support in the decision-making and setting the scope of retrofit engagement and for developing a local retrofit strategy.
