Cumulative Impact Assessment Review
Overview
To meet the requirements of Section 5A of the Licensing Act 2003, Oxford City Council is reviewing the current Cumulative Impact Assessment, which is required every three years.
The Assessment is used as an evidence-based tool for the Licensing Authority to consider adoption of the Special Saturation Policy (SSP), which forms part of the Statement of Licensing Policy. This is a statutory requirement.
Why your views matter
Your views will assist the Licensing Authority to determine whether or not it remains of the opinion set out in the current cumulative impact assessment.
The current Cumulative Impact Assessment is attached at the bottom of this page for your reference.
What happens next
Your views, comments and any evidence provided will be evaluated and presented to the Committee along with a recommendation as to whether to amend the cumulative impact assessment (CIA).
The Committee will consider the following options:
- determine whether the authority remains of the opinion set out in the current assessment, set out any evidence and revise the CIA, or
- determine the authority is no longer of the opinion set out in the current assessment and proceed to remove any reference to it in the Statement of Licensing Policy.
