Your views on Parks, Play Areas and Open Spaces in Oxford 2014

Leisure, Parks and Communities are gaining customers views and satisfaction of its parks, play areas, and countryside sites. A preliminary report of the results has been posted below.

Many thanks to everyone who completed the on-line survey and the face-to-face interviews in the parks, we had 309 completed surveys.

The results show a high and often increasing satisfaction in the areas where we have invested, such as play areas and toilets. We can use this as evidence to show that the investment was worthwhile and it is being used in the 2015 Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE) Service of the year award application.

The results also show us areas where we can improve and what areas are a priority for park users. Park cleanliness is a high priority and we have recently installed 20 Big Belly Bins across the busiest parks and recreation grounds. They compact the waste and can email the office when they need emptying, which is making our litter team more efficient.

Thank you once again for your time.
