The draft Housing Strategy has been approved by councillors for public consultation. Once the feedback has been analysed the Housing Strategy for Oxford 2012 - 2015 will be approved for publication. The strategy outlines the housing priorities for Oxford over the next 3 years and beyond and sets out the challenges faced by the City Council in meeting these.

Consultation of the draft Green Spaces and Playing Pitch & Outdoor Sports Strategies (2012 - 2026)
Oxford City Council's Leisure and Parks service have recently drafted two strategies: 1. Draft Green Spaces Strategy (2012 - 2026) 2. Draft Playing Pitch & Outdoor Sports Strategy (2012 - 2026) We would like to consult with you to take into account any comments or feedback you may have. A full version of each of the draft strategies is available along with a short summary. All comments, feedback and suggestions will be reviewed and amendments/updates will be made to the strategies where applicable. Please ensure that you clearly mark the strategy you are commenting on within your correspondence.

Community Centre Survey Respond Online
This survey is being carried out in a sample of Oxford's Community Centres (Barton, Cutteslowe and West Oxford) to measure customer satisfaction of those who do and do not currently use these Community Centres. This survey will close on 11 March 2012.

Cosmetic piercing and semi-permanent skin-colouring Respond Online
The Government has amended the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) act 1982 by means of section 120 the Local Government Act 2003 which provides Local Authorities with specific powers to regulate businesses providing cosmetic piercing (ear piercing or body piercing) and semi-permanent skin-colouring (eg micro pigmentation, semi-permanent make-up and temporary tattooing). Oxford City Council intends to adopt these powers and make byelaws which will control cosmetic piercing within the City of Oxford. Consultation for the Sites and Housing DPD Proposed Submission Document. This document builds on the previous consultation - the Preferred Options and presents Oxford City Council's proposed policies for residential developments in Oxford, including Student Accommodation, HMOs, Design, Low Carbon Homes, and Affordable Housing. It also includes proposed Site Allocation policies for development sites across the City.

Barton Area Action Plan (Proposed Submission Document) Respond Online
The Proposed Submission document sets out draft planning policies. The earlier rounds of consultation helped us to identify the issues. This stage of consultation is different; we are now asking whether the AAP is considered to be sound. To be 'sound' (as defined in National Planning Policy) a plan must be 'justified', 'effective' and consistent with national policy. We are also consulting on the Barton AAP: Sustainability Appraisal, please use the response form provided.
