Implementation of Dog Control Orders in the City
Oxford City Council are considering proposals to implement a number of dog control orders around the City.
The proposals include:
- Increasing the fine for dog fouling to £80 from £50 to make it the same as littering
- Limiting the maximum number of dogs one person can be in charge of in public
- Formally banning dogs from play areas in parks
- Giving authorised officers the power to require dogs to be put on a lead
This consultation is seeking your views on these proposals.
