Consultation

Oxford Archaeological Resource Assessments and Research Agendas 2012

This project was undertaken by the Heritage and Specialist Services Team of the City Council with funding from English Heritage and has resulted in a series of documents (available to download below) providing an assessment of the current state of archaeological knowledge for Oxford and its surroundings.

The documents are intended to complement similar assessments undertaken at County and Regional levels and are divided into a series of convenient period chapters. A series of research agendas have also been produced setting out the questions that we believe the surviving archaeological remains in the city can help us answer.

This consultation invites members of the local community with an interest in Oxford's archaeological heritage to comment on the contents of the assessments and agendas and suggest improvements and amendments for consideration.

Please email your comments to David Radford at dradford@oxford.gov.uk.

Note that some of these documents are large and may take some time to download.  If you have problems downloading them or need them in hard copy or alternative formats please let us know.
